Lagos stood still on October 29th, 2025, as UnwindFest Lagos returned with The Founders Rant Edition, an evening that blurred the line between a therapy session, connection, and networking.
Hosted at Paystack Headquarters, No. 126, Joel Ogunnaike, Ikeja, the evening brought together an intimate community of founders, creators, and entrepreneurs, not to pitch ideas or chase visibility, but to pause and talk about what it really means to build in a place like Africa.
This year’s theme, “The Founders Rant,” peeled back the polished layers of entrepreneurship. It gave space for truth, the kind that’s often left unsaid in boardrooms and on social media.
The stage featured three remarkable voices, Chude Jideonwo, Ogochukwu Onwuzurike, and Kehinde Ogundare, each offering their unique perspective on leadership, vulnerability, and resilience.
Chude reminded the audience that success means nothing if we lose our humanity along the way. Ogochukwu shared what it feels like to build with faith and grace even when doubt lingers. And Kehinde brought the fire, reminding everyone that optimism isn’t naivety, but power.
Beyond the talks, what truly defined the night were the faces in the crowd, people leaning in, taking notes, nodding along, and sometimes holding back tears. Founders met founders. Creators found collaborators. Strangers became friends.
“UnwindFest isn’t just an event,” said Seyi Olaniyan, the convener of UnwindFest. “It’s a space where people can exhale. Where we remind each other that behind every idea, there’s a human being trying to make sense of it all.”
From the energy in the room to the warmth of the conversations afterward, UnwindFest Lagos 2025 reaffirmed one truth: community is the real currency of growth.
Who brought together UnwindFest Lagos 5.0?

UnwindFest 5.0 was powered by Paystack and YellowLyfe, a team bonding and event production company.
UnwindFest is a growing community creating safe spaces for founders, C-suite managers, and professionals across Africa to connect deeply, beyond work, titles, or pressure.
Through each edition, from Accra to Abuja and now Lagos, UnwindFest continues to redefine what it means to network: honest conversations, shared laughter, and the courage to pause before pushing forward again.
When is the next edition of UnwindFest?

With Lagos marking the final edition for 2025, UnwindFest will return in early 2026, expanding its footprint across new African cities while deepening its roots in Nigeria and Ghana.
Next year’s editions will bring fresh formats, more founder circles, themed mixers, wellness breaks, and collaborative experiences designed to spark both reflection and partnership.
The goal remains the same: to remind builders, founders, and creators that they’re not alone and that growth doesn’t have to cost your peace.
